Past/present residents of bk heights- what do you like/not like about the neighborhood

Hi all, would love your thoughts on bk heights - things you enjoy about living here and things you've found challenging. What you miss after moving. I know many consider it one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Thinking of moving there. On me, I've lived in lower manhattan for 10+ years (nolita, soho, ev, wv, chelsea). 35+ single, have a dog, have spent a lot of time in bk heights area in general. Location is great, access to water, historical architecture, pretty streets. It lacks flavor and diversity but seems like a nice place to live. I know housing is limited, I have a lead on an apartment and income not an issue.
