This update brings a few overall improvements to the PhantomShell experience.

First up, I’m introducing Edit Mode. You can now easily set up and edit buttons and folders without needing to use the terminal. The terminal will still be there in all its glory for those who want to use it, but you’re no longer required to interact with it just to get PhantomShell configured the way you want.

I’ve also revamped the Settings menu to make it easier to navigate. There’s now an option to toggle All Caps on or off (quite a few requests for this), depending on how you want PhantomShell to look.

I’ve added a few more preset themes as well.

Coming Next: Windowed Folders

The next update after this one is going to introduce windowed folders.

The idea is for these to be more of a catch-all workspace rather than simply a place to store apps.

For example, you could create a Work folder. Inside, you could have your work contacts displayed at the top using the same quick-contact functionality that exists now. Below that, you could have the apps you use for work, followed by individual files and notes you frequently need.

Basically, everything you need for a particular task or context, all in one place.

More to come soon. 👻
