S3E10: Fun with math
I’m still seeing some people posting and commenting that they don’t believe 350 or so years have passed since the day of the nuke.
The “Who is she?” notes in Victor’s file on Troy that we see in S3E10 provide some useful data that we can use to extrapolate how much time has passed.
I counted at least 9 notes in that file. Elsewhere it is stated that there are 35 years between shifts in Silo 1, and each shift lasts about six months. 35 years x 9 notes = 315 years. And the Silo 17 external safeguard scene took place around 30 years before the events of the Silo 18 rebellion (present day). 315 + 30 = 345 years. Add on six months per shift x 9 shifts over 350 years, and you get about 4.5 years on shift. So about 350 years.
These details in the show seem to really line up well and reinforce the idea that around 350 years have passed since they entered Silo 1. Why would Victor lie about or fabricate the notes in his file on Troy?
So after learning this in S3E10, to me this definitively refutes the “not that much time has passed” theory that some people still hold.
