Build help

So, i would really appreciate if you guys help with build ideas. I wanna play red giant gestalt machine but have no idea how to deal with early unity and good options for civics. Unrelated to that, would really like some ideas for a biologic ship using empire as well for 4.4. For biologic i dont really have much preferences just anything other than kotg.
