Love Gravel But Hate Spandex

I’m going to post this with the understanding that I’m probably going to get a lot of hate from this community for my opinions. My position is that I love riding gravel and I love riding gravel events, but I don’t understand the obsession with everyone wearing full-on spandex kits. I’m at the point where I’m not going to sign up for any events because I’m such an outlier. I don’t pack my middle aged, overweight body into a spandex suit for the ride, knowing that any aerodynamic advantage that I would obtain by doing so is more than offset by my lack of fitness.
