Is taxidermy still common in Britain?

I an asking because I was raised in the south, I am very very accustomed to seeing taxidermy and I was shocked when one of my friends over seas said it wasn't common. Ive tried asking similar questions on other subreddits ans theyve been shot down very quickly. I dont know if its a touchy subject for most people but im very curious if it's still fairly common in other countries.
