Is my co worker jealous of me?

Backstory: My co worker (let’s say Ed) is an early 30’s yt guy and I’m a 26 year old Latina. Ed I know in the past has tried to leave by getting other jobs and certifications but always comes back to the job bc he can’t find another job or fails his test for certifications. He is known for being cocky and saying he’s the best at the job but we just brush it off and let him be. His wife has recently left the job bc she is pursing her career and he is still stuck at the job.

Now: I am currently in school to get my masters in MSW & when I told him I was starting school he said “oh to do your bachelors or something” I said “no I am pursing my masters” you can tell on his face he went ooo and just stayed quiet. Recently he’s been going back to our boss and making these dramatic stories about me. Also my co workers keep making jokes about how I am a good server and should be lead server bc I can also food run and host while serving.

Story 1: he made me come inside when I was helping the busser set up and I just went “I guess” and he told my boss I said that I didn’t care.

Story 2: I am a fast opener and he has been saying “she doesn’t wipe down the oil station and I do more silverware than her” he does no silverware and spends 40 min setting up the bar when it takes 7 min to set up the bar.

Story 3: I put “gnocchi sauce” under a pasta when I meat to put marinara sauce and he was telling me about it and chef fixed it for me and we moved on. I guess he told my boss “I told her she did it incorrect and she brushed me off and acted like she didn’t care”

So to sum up, my boss was annoyed with me about it and I had no idea. (My boss is a separate topic) but I feel like no matter what I do this guy tries to find a thing to go run to my boss about my character. And yes I have a little stronger character but I never disrespect. I just pick and chose what’s worth it. But I guess I’m just asking like am I tripping. And what would you do.
