Kambo scars

I’ve been going to the jungle on and off for about 10 years now. I’ve done a decent amount of kambo sessions in that time and have some light scars on my shoulders. I don’t mind them, and didn’t really think anything of it at the time.

However, I’m almost positive my doctor thinks they’re self harm scars. She asked what they were, looking really concerned. Even after pulling up images of Kambo and how’s it’s applied, she still looked at me incredulously and just kinda smiled and nodded, clearly not understanding. I’m not sure if she put it in my chart, but has anybody experienced anything similar? I really never even considered it, but now it makes total sense because doctors generally have no idea about any of this stuff, and aren’t exactly eager to learn.
