Does anyone else “storyboard” their chapters?

So for the past while, I’ve been trying to write by making a list of bullet points of every scene I want in the chapter and then a bunch of sub bullet points under that for every event in the scene and then more under that for the specifics, and then use that to create the new chapter. I recently found out that this sounds incredibly similar to an animation storyboard. Is this just a unique me thing or do other people do this as well?
