How do folks afford dry eye treatments?

Been struggling with dry eye that has progressively worsened over the past 3 years. I’m finally seeing a specialist and she says I have aqueous deficient dry eye / posterior blepharitis / MGD / rosacea, with a little over 1/3 of my oil glands atrophied.

We’ve tried restasis, cequa, and now xiidra but she says the next step is IPL, which is $1400 and likely something I’d have to keep up with 1-2 times a year.

Curious how folks are able to afford these treatments? I’m rebuilding after losing my job for nearly a year and funds are very low, but I’m absolutely miserable with my eyes.
