Aerospace engineering or physics (or nuclear engineering) degrees and jobs in the UK.

Through my whole Year 11 and Year 12 experience I kept wondering whether to do aerospace engineering or physics, since I love pure maths and physics and learning how the universe works I thought I'd do a physics degree. However, the path I would probably take after doing a physics degree realistically would become a researcher and a lecturer and I don't really know if I'd enjoy that, mabye for the first 5 ish years but I think I would get bored of it mabye.

Now I am in Year 13, and I decided to do aerospace engineering because I like working hands on and creating (learnt this through FTC Robotics shout out), I've always been interested in space and how we could create something which can move through space, and also I thought that the pay was good. And being completely honest that was a very very big factor for me the pay, until I realised that aerospace engineer's only make alot in USA and not that much in UK.

I've been reading and watching all over social media other people's experiences with doing an aerospace engineering course and many say they are struggling to find a job and it breaks my heart to hear that but I am not going to do all of that hard work for me to end up with no income .

So now, I'm in Year 13, my teachers want me to be applying for universities and I don't even know anymore what I want to do. I've heard that with a physics degree I could become a software engineer and that they make quite a bit of money, but that's not an extremely secure path. And I've even been thinking about nuclear engineering as that includes learning about radioactive decay and neutron behaviour and I've always been very interested about those topics. But at this point I really don't know what to do with myself and my head of year won't leave me alone so any advice from any aerospace engineer's from the UK, physicist, researchers, nuclear engineer's, honestly any advice from anyone would be extremely helpful.
