Your thoughts on films whose 2nd acts start up a whole new plot-point.

I’ve seen this in films like Antebellum and Barbarian, and recently >!Buddy.!<

In several cases, it feels like it really slows the momentum down, and then tries to build it back up again.

It’s like watching a second car start on a journey, and eventually, is expected to join up with a car currently running.

Any other films that seem to do this recently? I’m wondering if this may be a slowly-evolving trend in horror films.
