Why is selling water bottles popular with Black kids in the United States?

I’ve always wondered when I’m both in my home state and I travel to other U.S. states that why is it popular for Black kids to sell water bottles on the street? And not candies or handmade crafts. And I have not seen any other race selling water bottles on the street (except for outside a stadium after a concert)

When I’ve traveled to other countries I’ve seen kids selling crafts, fruit, or or candies but haven’t seen any of that in the United States.
