Im not my partners type

I’ve[23F] been with my partner[26M] for 1.5 years, and until recently I hadn’t really thought much about his dating history. But I was thinking about it the other day and realized that his last three partners were all older than me, heavily tattooed, and involved in streaming/content creation in some way.

I’m basically none of those things. I’m younger, I don’t have tattoos, and I’m not a streamer or particularly involved in that world at all.

I know people have preferences and that just because someone has dated a certain “type” before doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the only type they’re attracted to. I also know that I’m probably overthinking this to some degree. But once I noticed the pattern, I couldn’t unsee it.

Now I keep wondering if I’m some kind of exception to his usual type, and whether that means he’s eventually going to realize I’m not what he actually wants. It’s made me feel strangely insecure in a relationship where I didn’t previously feel this way.

I haven’t accused him of anything or told him he can’t date people like that. I don’t want to make his past relationships about me. I just can’t shake the feeling that there’s something significant about the fact that he seems to repeatedly choose women with these characteristics, while I have none of them.

Am I reading way too much into his dating history? Has anyone else experienced this kind of insecurity after realizing their partner has a very different “type” than them?

I’m mostly looking for perspective on whether this is something worth talking to him about, or whether I need to work through the insecurity on my own.
