First paying customer immediately canceled.
Building [Family Stitch](https://www.familystitch.com), a shared extended family calendar you can manage over text. No app needed, just text to check the schedule or add events. Built it because our family wouldn't stop asking us "what time is the thing?" in group chats. I wanted something parents, kids, grandparents, whoever, could use without downloading anything. I figured if people will bombard the group chat where they may not even get an answer, why not have a dedicated phone number to text to get family event info immediately?
I haven't touched it in a couple of months, no marketing or anything, but yesterday someone I don't know some how found it, pulled out their card, and paid for a subscription. They asked for a refund right after 😂
Likely because they misunderstood that the calendar can still be viewed online. I issued the refund but still going to see if I can salvage them as a customer.
This prompted me to look at the project again, low and behold, I noticed two other family's quietly using the free tier as of this week and I'm over the moon about it.
I use Family Stitch casually for myself, but cannot express how reinvigorating it was to see a few sign ups this week, and more importantly people actually using it.
