Permit Appeals process

Just wondering if anybody on here has gone through the initial decision appeals process somewhat recently, I'm mostly just looking for a timeline to hear back on a submitted appeals packet. I worked with an attorney to draft and he advised me that it could very well be as long as 3-4 months, but some appeals get turned around in as little as 30-45 days. Suffolk Yaphank so I believe it goes to an appeals board rather than a judge but any information is appreciated.
