I guess I'm here because I'd like to find my best friend. The person I get excited to tell about the random thing that happened at the grocery store, the one I send pictures of pretty streets to, the one who makes ordinary days feel less ordinary.

I'm 39, live in Mexico, and don't have children. I'm hoping to meet someone between in his low 30s and low 40's, who also doesn't have kids and is genuinely looking for a long-term relationship- not just someone to pass the time with.

I tend to be drawn to quiet things. Long walks where you lose track of time. Museums. Bookstores. Cities that are beautiful enough to wander around without a destination. I travel when I can, and if I had to choose between a loud nightclub and spending an afternoon exploring somewhere new, I'd choose the second every single time.

I'd love to meet someone who enjoys that kind of life too. Someone who likes moving, exploring, walking for hours just because the weather is nice and the conversation is even better.

Life hasn't always gone according to plan, but I think it's made me kinder, more patient, and much more appreciative of the people who choose to stay. I value emotional maturity, curiosity, consistency, and people who can communicate honestly even when it's uncomfortable.

A couple of dealbreakers, just so we don't waste each other's time: I'm not interested in dating someone who's recently separated or divorced, and I'm hoping to meet someone who's in a place where they're emotionally available and ready to build something new.

Distance doesn't scare me if there's a real connection. I'd rather spend months getting to know the right person than weeks forcing something with the wrong one.
