I genuinely need to stop saying “come on, Abhi to boht time hai!!” to my friends...

Few months back, I was out with a friend after work. We were just gonna grab food and head home. He had work the next morning, I had nothing going on, so I wasn't really in a hurry 😜

While we're eating I randomly mention that there's a new bar a few mins away and that we could check it out 😁

He goes “yeah fu#k it.”

So we go.

Then one of his friends shows up. Then another round. Then somebody knows a place nearby that's apparently “way better” 😲

I'm mostly just tagging along at this point, but every time someone says “last one?” I'm like yeah!! Abhi to Boht time hai!! 😏

By 1 AM we're nowhere near where we started.

Then around 2, my friend suddenly remembers he has a meeting at 9AM ⌚

He looks at me and goes, “bhai, you said we'd just have one. Nd where the hell i parked my car!!!"

I reminded him that he was the one who said “fu£k it” first. (U can check) Nd ur car is parked outside the XYZ da dhaba.

Now, He booked a cab instead.

At 4 AM he messages me that he's somehow ended up at a dhaba 20 km away, has no idea whose car is parked outside 😵‍💫😵‍💫 and has work at 9.

I asked him why he did this.

He said, “bro you said that Abhi boht time hai!!”

I had said that three hours earlier. 🙄

Didn't matter.

We finally leave around 5. He gets home, sleeps for maybe 3 hours and shows up to work looking like he worked all night on an fruitful project. 👨🏻‍💼

His manager asks him why he's late.

He saysy “traffic.”

There was no traffic.

He had just been drinking with us till 3 AM.

So yeah, technically I didn't ruin anyone's night.

I just made one harmless suggestion and watched the consequences unfold...🫠
