philosophizing 😱
i'm really sorry for my eccentric sense of humor or generally just in the way i format my forums. but! i just made this script for my philosophy class, and just wanted to share it with you guys and maybe you can share feedbacks! (im tired of fishing compliments from gemini ai cuz i know they biased and i cannot further hike up my delusions)
SCRIPT:
I was always known as the stupid kid in our family.
I remembered trying to fit in with my cousins but being too dumb to realize they don't want me in it. My tita pointing out I was holding the broom the wrong way, picking up the wrong item after being told repeatedly what it was called, and then constantly compared to others about how smart they are.Â
So I began to study hard and learn new things. But then I was told I was too focused in studying. So I hopped to exploring different hobbies. I was told I was always drawing, so I returned to studying. I was told even if I studied, I still lacked skills. So I tried to master different skills. I was told I was trying too hard, so I stopped altogther.
Looking back, it made me realize no matter how much you tried to be a different person, you can never change people's perspective.Â
I tried very hard later on in my life to be this perfect idealized person they would be proud of, but as the last of my restraint broke, one question stuck in my mind:Â
Why do we ruin ourselves just to fit a narrative that is plausible or aesthetic to society?Â
That realization made me recoil from the life I chose. And the more I think of it, the more I feel lost and displaced.Â
With profound self discovery, I began to step out of my comfort zone even if it deemed unusual to my relatives. I pursued what I liked, and excelling at them.Â
Hearing the same words may be hurtful, but the thought of defying the very person they've always dictated me to be was liberating.Â
Because for the first time, I'm choosing myself.Â
If being stupid meant exploring different aspects of myself through the long run, then maybe they were right all along. Being stupid might be the best compliment they've given me.Â
WHAT DO YOU THINK???!??!?!??!!
