25M, Mumbai | Looking for a childfree partner

Hi everyone,

I'm 25, from Mumbai, and work as a lecturer.

Why CF?

I don't think having children—whether biological or adopted—is necessary for a fulfilling life. For me, a meaningful career, a good relationship, and a few things I genuinely enjoy are enough to make life worthwhile.

I'm also conscious of the financial and practical responsibilities of parenthood. I chose my career because I love it, even though I'm not sure how much I'll earn in the long run. I would rather build a life around what I value than take on the responsibility of raising a child without actually wanting that life.

The current state of the world, the economy, and the climate also reinforces my decision. But ultimately, being childfree is a personal choice I feel comfortable with, rather than something I expect everyone else to agree with.

A little about me

- I'm an atheist, although I'm perfectly comfortable participating in and enjoying festivals, cultural traditions, food, celebrations, etc. I don't expect a partner to share my beliefs.

- I'm vegan, but I'm completely okay with having a vegetarian or non-vegetarian partner. I don't expect someone else to follow my diet; mutual respect matters more to me.

- I enjoy TV series, especially American sitcoms, anime, manga, and K-dramas.

- I like thriller and mystery movies.

- I play badminton and football, and enjoy swimming.

- I don't particularly enjoy travelling, but I'm happy to do it with good company.

- I'm not particularly materialistic. I don't have a strong desire for an extravagant lifestyle; I'd rather have financial stability and the freedom to spend my time on things I find meaningful.

- I'm very interested in philosophy and tend to spend a lot of time thinking about why things are the way they are. I have plenty of random philosophical musings and enjoy discussing ideas, arguments, beliefs, and the assumptions behind them.

- I'm naturally quite critical in the sense that I like examining things carefully before accepting or choosing them. I'm not talking about being judgmental of people.

- I believe a fulfilling life doesn't require following the conventional path. There are relatively few things I consider necessary for me to be happy, which makes me comfortable taking some risks with my career and lifestyle.

Who I'm looking for

Someone around 22–27, who is:

- Firmly childfree and looking for a serious relationship with someone who shares that choice.

- Comfortable communicating directly and setting healthy boundaries.

- Someone who understands that a relationship should make life better, not more complicated.

- Comfortable with living an unconventional life and building a future that works for both of us.

- Interested in having conversations beyond the usual small talk—whether that's philosophy, psychology, society, or just some random question that neither of us can stop thinking about.

- Open to discussing practical things like finances, career, marriage, and family expectations.

- Comfortable with the fact that I'm atheist and vegan, without necessarily sharing either of those choices themselves.

One important thing: my mom is the only family I have, so I would ideally like to live with her or be very close to where she lives. This is something I would want to discuss openly with a potential partner.

I'm not looking for someone who agrees with every opinion I have—just someone thoughtful, kind, curious, and willing to communicate honestly.

If this resonates with you, feel free to DM me. We can start with a conversation and see if we get along.

A few questions for anyone interested: Are you firmly childfree? What kind of life do you want to build? And how do you feel about living with or near a partner's parents?
