Why help the FBC

If they took Dylan, contained him, experimented on him, and tested on him, and etc, for the only reason at least at the time was to force him to be a possible candidate as a director, why would Jesse even help them at all after she found him? Like the rest of the place seems to be pretty legit in trying to protect people but the idea that they took him and did all that to him... And Jesse just stays his director and helps? Escapes me
