SURVIA - An offline iPhone preparedness app in final testing

I'm building SURVIA, an iPhone app for preparing before a backcountry trip and keeping useful reference material available away from mobile coverage.

It combines an on-device assistant, downloaded maps, guides and preparation checklists. It's still in final testing, not an App Store release. The work right now is about checking the real phone experience, making source links useful and being honest about what the app cannot reliably do.

One design decision matters a lot to me: a photo or an AI answer should never become permission to eat a wild mushroom, or a substitute for qualified medical help. I want it to be a supplemental reference, not something that encourages people to abandon basic skills and backup equipment.

While finishing the app, I'm publishing free preparedness articles on the project site. The writing and development are AI-assisted; the app and the content are still being checked and improved.

If you were evaluating an offline assistant like this, what would you want to see in a real-device demo before you considered trying it: source access, offline maps, response quality, or something else?
