Longest day everrrr

Man oh MAN the day I just had. Coming here to rant because as much as I love talking to my fam, they just don’t get it like other servers do.

Labor Day weekend FUCKED ME UP and it’s only Saturday 😭😭😭 Friday was so dead like genuinely had max 10 tables my entire shift and only made about $150. Today though, the second our doors opened nonstop insanity. Huge parties, lots of allergies, split checks, hella modifications, the works. Most of my tables were amazing though which I am eternally grateful for. But of course to round it out we had a reservation for an hour before we close and this group were pounding martinis in every possible combination. Our poor bartender is never gonna be able to look at another martini again. The entire restaurant gets late tabled. So we all had entire full sections of mostly new parties by the time we closed. We were there two hours past closing. I also (accidentally of course) spilled a beer on a table and although they were so understanding and bantered with me only tipped 10%. And the cherry on top I dropped a tray of dirty dishes smashing several plates and sending ice cream splattering all over me. Honestly though, not the craziest shift I’ve ever had and I still walked away with $700. So I will in fact be there tmrw 😌
