What’s up with all the Beatles hate nowadays?

Am I missing something? Is it now trendy to bash The Beatles? I get that disliking something mainstream is unironically enough a pretty popular thing to do, but it’s kind of a bummer to see that happening to The Beatles.

Maybe some folks genuinely don’t like their music? But I’ve noticed this anti-Beatles sentiment is gaining traction lately, so it feels like there’s more to it than just a sudden consensus that they’re overrated. The popular argument about John is pretty shaky when many of these same critics have favorite artists, both old and new, who have done similar or even worse things.
