Are current historians optimistic about the future of the us?

As the title states, are current historians optimistic about the future of the United States? There's so much uncertainty and predictions going around that I don't know what to think or believe. From AI, the current administration's controversial leadership, the housing bubble, culture wars, rise of bigotry, etc... What are the thoughts of historians about such concerns and if there are any data that can perhaps help us navigate the future?
