[M4FFF] Revenge is a dish best served to everyone she knows

A big group vacation was the only kind we seems to take these days. It use to be small, close, romantic, and now we were always on some big adventure with family or friends. This trip was no different. We had traveled to what otherwise would have been a idillic little getaway, but since we were married, it felt like we weren’t allowed a second alone.

You were out packing the rental car up to meet the rest of the group when, fresh out of the shower and brushing my teeth, I heard a buzz from my wife’s phone on the side of the bathroom sink. Hm, I thought... She must have left it in her rush.

The text flashed across the screen and had taken my breath away.

“I can’t wait for you to get ba...”

It was from someone named Jake. And I tried to keep on brushing my teeth but I felt sick. As I got dressed I kept glancing over, wondering who the hell Jake was and why he was texting my wife. I knew it crossed a line for me to do it, but after a while I gave in and furiously typed in her passcode to open the message.

It was everything a spouse didn’t want to see. A long, lurid tale of an affair though texts, including photos, videos and more. My vision went white, face hot, and I sat on the edge of the bed.... livid.

As she returned and kissed me on the cheek I pretended not to know what was going on. I had never been a petty man, but all I could fantasize about was all the ways I could confront her. We drove for a bit in mostly silence. I told her I was just tired and would be better with coffee once we met up with everyone else.

What happened the rest of the vacation, surprised even me...
