Advice for being a tech in NC

Calling all North Carolina techs. I used to be a Dodge tech for 2 years. I left the game because I wasn't making a lot on flat rate for various reasons. Mostly because we are in a smaller city. What brands do yall recommend working for if I wanna get back into it? I dont mind working my way up from 0 again. If I gotta change oil until I get an apprenticeship opportunity I don't mind. I know enough to have a fighting chance at making money but still have a lot to learn. I've been thinking of working for a euro brand. I'm just curious what yall recommend.
