would i like marvel tokon if i love smash?

been looking at marvel tokon and can’t tell if the combat would actually be for me

i loved smash and multiversus mostly because of how free the movement feels. jumping around, dodging, controlling space and getting really good with one character was probably my favourite part
i’ve never really clicked with traditional street fighter type games where you’re mostly locked to a flat plane doing long combos, but i really like the marvel roster and the idea of picking a character and mastering them

does it feel more free than it looks? do you think someone who likes smash/multiversus but not traditional fighters would enjoy it?
