First dates

I'm nealry 40 (female) and haven't dated in a while but in the past week I've been on 2 dates (different people) in which I've felt a bit pressured into kissing someone.

Today's date was in a pub booth and I was on the side with the wall and he was on the side with aisle. It meant that I had very little of backing away etc. when he lent in to kiss me. Am I being silly?

I generally have never kissed people on first dates. Is thia an expectation now?
