Adhesive

Has anyone found an affordable source for double-sided adhesive? I've managed to pull some of the adhesive off of a couple paintings recently and had to resort to super glue, but I'd like to use the same material to replace it. I can buy a roll on AliExpress but it's highly expensive. Those of you on a budget, do you buy the stuff anywhere or do you use something else?
