I wish they reworked the loadout system entirely.

Discussion

If embark want a casual game it needs to be way more accessible and remove the bloat features that actively prevent us from raiding. Make it pick up and play.

The stash system doesn't increase fun in any meaningful way and crafting does take up a lot of time that could be raiding. The juice ain't worth the squeeze so we remove it. The blueprint system is really prohibitive to fully experiencing the game especially when I hit level 75 without finding survivor vs finding it early on after expedition, it was like playing two different games, the one with survivor was way more fun whereas the version without survivor felt like crawling and I wouldn't recommend the game like that.

Reworked arc raiders. Allow us to change loadout while in queue and if we are editing when the game is ready to send us in, give us up to 10seconds to finalise the loadout and then play. Reworked Loadouts: Everyone has 2 options, a random free kit for fun or free savable custom loadout that allows you to choose any loadout from items for which you have the blueprint for, under a credit budget per raid. Budget numbers are such that you essentially have a pretty humble kit on regular raids and are able to build a more robust kit for special weather conditions but the loadouts you make are more personal from early on. Everyone in the same raid as you has the exact same budget so it's fair and u don't have to use all of the points if you don't want but they won't carry over. Reworked Blueprint system is changed so you can now select a new blueprint to unlock each time you level up. Any gun component requires additional points to unlock the tier 2 and tier 3 version of it so compensator 3 takes 3 points to permanently unlock. A stitcher with comp 2, light mag 2, horizontal 2 would take 7 levels to unlock. If we regret starting with the osprey at level 1 it's not gg, we can always go random kit and we can still find guns during raids from cases or bodies and level 2 comes quickly. The loadout system can include standard available items at higher cost and it's cheaper if you have the blueprint for it and daily discounted items to be enough to consider changing out 1 or 2 items from what you usually use in order to keep things fresh without stopping you from using the gun you want so, maybe we usually run 5 herbal bandages but today vita shots cost 25% less so we decide to grab 2 of them with 3 bandages and tomorrow heavy shields are 30% off and some people are pulling out the torrente with extra bullets. If we die, we just load up again. I think this system could be faster to pick up and play.
