Alternative Pain Management

Hi all! I’d like to hear from other’s experiences or suggestions on pain management. For context: I’m 35, diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and in the diagnostic process of what my docs think is EDS & some neurological disorder (might be FND, still waiting on more testing).

I’m in treatment with biologics and MTX, as well as pain meds, and things have gotten so bad in the last couple of years that I’m now needing the wheelchair almost every time I leave the house (plus usually cane inside the house). No amount of opioids are even helping the pain, and I’m losing my mind. The wheelchair i use not just for pain, but because sometimes my neuro issues get bad out of the blue when im out and it becomes hard and dangerous (as im usually by myself).

I’m waiting on my next appointments to try and find solutions that might make daily life a bit more manageable, and waiting to get a call back from a new physio as well.

**But I’m curious if anyone has found relied with more alternative treatments. Not as a replacement, but to complement.** A friend told me about functional medicine but I feel it might be another one of those bs things where they just try to sell you more useless supplements (i might be wrong! Just my perception). So I’m thinking maybe acupuncture? Some form of massage therapy?

Literally anything that isn’t taking medication cause i have too many interactions to be trying out stuff without consulting my doctor lol.

Any ideas and suggestions help at this point…Thanks so much!
