How popular is Yakitori (Japanese chicken skewers) where you live?

I'm a huge fan of Yakitori, and I'm curious about how it's viewed outside of Japan.

Is it pretty easy to find where you live, or is it still a bit rare to see?

If you've tried it, what's your favorite skewer? (Personally, I love crispy chicken skin / Kawa!)
