Sorry for the long post as I am just going to vent out my frustrations with Amazon -

I ordered a foot massager as a present for my mom on 31st August and the expected delivery date was 4th September (Friday). The shipment reached the final delivery station on 2nd Sep and then I got a notification that it was out for delivery.

I did not receive any calls and the delivery did not happen. So I waited till next day and the package was still showing out for delivery in the main banner but the tracking status changed to 'Package received by courier' and I still did not get the shipment.

Called customer service and they said they will reschedule for next day because the orginal delivery date was 5h September and the package was still not delivered.

I waited and since there was no movement at all, I contacted customer support again and told them to cancel it because there was a similar product from a different brand which had next day delivery and I wanted to reorder it.

Here's the frustration part -

The first time I chatted with Amazon - two agents disconnected after I sent them the issue, the third agent came in and said they will reschedule it again and I specifically told them I will cancel it if the shipment is not delivered.

I waited till 7 PM the next day, no movement at all, contacted support again and told them to cancel it. He asked for my alt number and asked if I received any calls, I told them no. He kept saying it will be delivery before 8 PM and I told them its already 7:15 PM. I told them to cancel it and he said he will raise a cancellation request but have to wait till the product is back to the seller first and then a refund is initiated. It does not make sense to treat it as return request timeline when I did not even get the shipment.

I again contacted late at night and this time the agent says they cannot cancel it and instead, they can either give me a free prime membership for a month or a 250 rs max refund via amazon wallet or reschedule the delivery again. I pleaded him to check my tracking status and use logic. I lost 2.3k and they do not seem to care. They kept saying to refuse delivery when the delivery person calls but that is the issue!! No one is even calling me so that I can cancel that way.

What do I even do here???

Venting out my frustrations - Amazon is not cancelling my order which is stuck in out for delivery since 2nd September
