uhm for context a couple months ago my sister made a comment in an angry moment regarding 3 strays i was being forced to stop feeding by the housing complex manager. i brought them in. i’ve lived here for a year now in my own and only recently my sister has been staying with me short term to get on her feet. me bringing them in was my long term commitment. she would make negative comments about it and go back and fourth, or get angry about unrelated situations and bring them up “they deserve to stay outside” or “leave them outside”

today we got in a verbal exchange because there is a stray cat she told me SHE WANTED to bring in. one of the three. she asked to keep her in her bedroom. she loved her. then she got annoyed if she used the litter box. if she wanted attention. if she meowed. she took her back outside. i disliked this so i brought her back in. she let her back outside. i keep bringing her in, especially this week bc it’s a heat wave and she keeps letting her back outside. the friends she used to play with are inside and now all she does is sit and sleep in the porch. my sister tried to convince me once again how happy mei seemed outside and i stated she’s not really but my bf wants her so it’s okay. it started a weird exchange, she started getting shitty walking off and said ok she can have her i said he would take good care of her so it’s a good thing and she said she can stay the fuck outside - again after i firmly set a boundary that it was not okay to make comments about my home or animals in my responsibilities bc it doesn’t fall in anyone else ever. i also want to mention ive been feeding and caring for the same three strays for a year now.. and im just now being forced to stop feeding them and i wont do it. i paid pet deposits for all three and now it feels like im being insulted for not wanting to leave them outside.

i don’t know if im over reacting and if it should be left at “it’s just a cat” but it feels like im setting a fair boundary and its not being respected. any insight? lmk if any of this post isn’t ok ive never posted here

TLDR: my sister brought in a stray and then kicked her out, and got angry when someone actually wanted her. aio for my response?

AIO for saying this when my sister kicked out a stray she brought in
