Unsure of my essay topic

I'm in the process of writing my personal statement/ common app essay and I don't know exactly what to do. My first thought was to write about music, as I've participated in music basically my whole life. I play clarinet and some other things, have marching band leadership, make all state bands etc. however this stuff about me is all very obvious in my application, and it's not really something that i'm planning to continue. it's caused a lot of growth in me but no passion if you know what i mean. i have some other interests that aren't apparent in the rest of my app but im unsure of how to write about them in a compelling way

I have this kind of obscure idea to write it about wawa like the gas station, iykyk. i wanted to connect it to like a self discovery/opportunity kind of thing, as in the wawa is like the world, and my regular order is my comfort and i need to try something new and find the thing that really lights a fire for me. idk. my english teacher told me it could be a very promising idea but i am not a strong writer imo. i'm afraid of making it too heavy handed with the metaphor but i also don't want it to make absolutely no sense.

if anyone has any ideas, advice, wants to tell me my ideas are stupid let me know lol!!
