Headunit Recommendations

So basically, I installed an old head unit a while back, and the wired CarPlay stopped working in a 2018 Jeep Jk 2D. I want to replace it now, but the head unit options are kinda overwhelming; I'm trying to find one that's good without being ugly or a scam.

I have looked online, but there isn't much discussion or many up-to-date reviews on head units. My budget is around 500 dollars. Can anyone suggest good head units around that price (can be a little higher), or any advice you would give someone replacing their unit?

Important to mention: I currently have factory speakers but am in the process of getting new ones with an amp. I also have a sub with an amp in the car. I also need Apple CarPlay and the touchscreen, ideally with as little lag as possible. Also need it to look great lol.
