"Happy are the poor in spirit; because theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven”
The above was the opening verse of famous Sermon on the Mount (biblehub.com/matthew/5-3.htm)
Happiness was the message of Jesus, shows this verse.
He defined human being as “spirit (pneuma)” and as “children of God the spirit (pnuema—John 4:24), thus would never mention death of anyone as death is only for the body, not for the spirit from which life-force flows animating the body. (biblehub com/john/6-63.htm) This knowing the very basic truth about self is the basic qualification for happiness: “If the flesh came into being because of spirit, it is a wonder. But if spirit came into being because of the body, it is a wonder of wonders.” (Gospel of Thomas, verse 29) In accepting this truth (“I am spirit, user of this body”) alone, “fruit of spirit” would flow from the person such as “love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (esv.org/Galatians 5:22-23) Or else, their opposite qualities would flow making life like hell for self and for others.
If at all death is mentioned, he did so figuratively. For example, he told those who love things of God more than God Himself is already “dead.” (biblehub.com/matthew/8-22.htm, details HERE) They were still living but were dead to the joy of knowing God and living by His laws designed to result in “never-ending waves of peace, wellbeing and good health, having no enemies.” (Isaiah 48:18; Proverbs 17:22; 16:7) Hence this expression is repeated in Romans 6:11: Be “dead towards sin and alive towards God.”
When death is only for the body (not for the Spirit), everything that happens to anyone would have roots into more than his present birth (Details HERE), just like people with FD and Loans are given different treatment from the Bank—interest is credited to the former but is debited to the latter. In remembrance of this, there is no confusion about anything that happens. A person may seem to receive more than what he deserve to outsiders, but not to those who truly know that person, as illustrated below:
My neighbor woman is highly educated. But when she had her child born she stopped going for work to care for her child. When the child was put in Kinder Garten, she would take up job there. Like that she would take up job in whichever schools her daughter studies. When daughter was taken to the College, during interview she asked for Lecturer Post herself in the same college. And when Management asked of her qualifications, they got a pleasant surprise. They said "Why go for Lecturer Post, be the Principal of our College.” Now both daughter and mom go together and return together, a practice they started years back. Her returns are proportionate to the love she has towards higher values, as testified by Solomon: “since my soul was good, it entered a perfect body.” (biblehub.com/catholic/wisdom/8-20.htm)
