My husband doesn’t have a lot of goals in life and it bothers me
My husband is a good person. He is very respectful and responsible. He is the only earning member of his family so yes there is some burden on him. He earns well in a good job.
I also have a job fyi. I believe that after marriage husband and wife should support each other and build a life together. I never have any issues with contributing financially to anything.
What bothers me is that my husband has a very casual approach to life/lack of ambition.
For example, we need a car. I’m happy to contribute and pay. He doesn’t want one yet because it’s expensive. I’m pregnant and I don’t want to in drive everywhere with my newborn. I shared with him that I dream of us buying a house one day to raise our family in. He seemed upset that I’d suggest leaving his parents home.
He has no long term financial plans. No proper savings, no long term goals on how we will support our growing family in this economy. It’s very difficult to discuss all of this with him.
I feel resentful when I see other couples who have actual goals and plans for their life.
