Is it petty for a manager to reject me and don’t want me in their team because I used to reject them?
I quitted my last job and got an interview with 3 new different bigger company, turned out I got all 3.
I chose the one I find the most suitable for me, the biggest with the brand name most valuable, and rejected me the rest but turned out it was not for me. Then the job market went hard, I couldnt find another similar jobs opened in the area I wanred for a few months.
Then this company appeared and it’s everything I wanted and needed right now. The competition was there, I saw a lot of people waiting in line for an interview. I got an interview with them, but I needed to do like 2 different interviews, first with HR, later with the manager. I got through the first one with flying colors. They scheduled the 2nd one for me, but then called me to cancel and failed me just the day after because they told me the Manager here was doesn’t want me in their team, he used to work in one of the two companies that I rejected. And that he interviewed me once and then I disappeared so he didn’t want me or waste his time anymore. I rejected him so he didnt want me in their team. He got a choice in choosing who he wants.
I felt so mad and angry when I found out. I found him to be so petty. But in the same time I know he has the right to choose who he wants, and he has many options, is he being petty and unreasonable?
