Dating a Korean as a foreigner
I’m a 26 yo foreigner living in Korea. Currently dating a Korean who’s 37yo. We first met during a language app and then started talking and after a few meetings he asked me to be his gf. And even tho I don’t really like him I just accepted . We are on our 2 month, he’s very nice kind likes me so much will come see me whenever I ask him or do stuff for me. Unless it involves money. For example, if we fight he just apologizes and that’s all(which I’m not asking for gifts but as an Arab I’m used to gifts or flowers etc).
2. He never bought me flowers or any gifts (which I suppose is normal in dating in Korea? Please correct me if I’m wrong)
3. Now hes starting to ask me to pay for things, for example the other day I said I’m hungry and then he brings me to the place and says so you’ll pay for this? ㅎㅎ 맛있게 먹을게! I was so confused and I said no I’m not. And as we were laughing I said why are you asking me to pay meanwhile I’m a student and I don’t even have a job? And he was like oh so I’m always the one who’s gotta pay? I said yes & he just laughed it off

Mins you I did pay for some date food / coffee a few times. Even tho in my culture we don’t do that AT ALL.

Money issues are so big a lot of times I notice that he just spends the very minimum on me.

Last time he asked me to hang out after I told him I’m about to cook but I’m so hungry and lazy and he was like how about we meet, he comes picks me up and takes me to a mountain???? Like walking date !! Mind you he knows I’m hungry (not first time he neglects my needs like that) then after the walk I asked him to stop by McDonalds. He did and then I hang over my card. And he took it and paid with it. + he was very ‘annoyed’ bc I had to bring him to mc drive thru.

He says he has money issues one minute and he paid all for the job materials then when I pretend idk he takes me on a date pays for the food and all the same day he says he doesn’t have money to even eat if he goes on business trip !
어떻게 생각하세요?
Should I break up? Or am I too ‘materialistic’? Lol
