Pre-Islamic history names

Al-salam wa alaykom brothers and sisters,

I've tried researching this topic but haven't come to a consensus of whether the names Muhammad and Ali existed in Arabia or our holy Prophet (pbuh) and Mawla (as) were the first to be named Muhammad and Ali.

I've heard they were the first but wanting to confirm.
