I’ve been thinking about the recent changes to Suno and the new download limits.

When you can generate far more songs than you can realistically take out of the platform, I think the interesting problem becomes less about generating more and more about **which songs are actually worth developing**.

That’s also made the reason I built Kordra Music a lot clearer.

I never wanted to build another AI music generator. Suno and Udio already handle that part.

Kordra Music is the workspace around it.

Somewhere to take an idea, develop the concept, work through lyrics and structure, figure out the sound, keep versions and notes together, and organise the songs you actually want to take forward.

One user recently told me they’d started using Kordra as soon as they found it and were now at **“60 songs and counting.”**

That stuck with me.

At 5 songs, you can probably remember everything.

At 20, it gets harder.

At 60, 100 or 200, you’re not just playing around with generations anymore. **You’re building a catalogue.**

And that catalogue needs somewhere to live outside the generator.

Interestingly, I’ve also been building for the complete opposite workflow.

Kordra Studio is now on the Mac App Store and is aimed at traditional songwriters. No generative AI writing the song. No account. It’s a local-first writing room for lyrics, chords, takes, versions, notes and getting everything organised for handoff.

So Kordra is gradually becoming less about “AI music software” and more about something broader:

**Building tools around the process of making things.**

AI-assisted or completely human-written doesn’t really matter to me. They’re different creative workflows with different needs.

I’m interested in what happens between **having the idea** and **having something finished**.

That’s the bit I’m trying to build better software for. [https://kordra.io](https://kordra.io)

For anyone using Suno heavily, I’m curious: **how are you organising your songs once you get beyond the first few dozen?**

Suno’s download limits have made me rethink what happens before Generate
