I built an Excel toolkit to solve the product decision chaos e-commerce sellers face
I've been working on a project called Digital Seller Business OS.
The idea came from noticing that product research, cost calculations, profitability estimates, and opportunity comparisons are often scattered across multiple spreadsheets, calculators, and tools.
I wanted to see if I could bring those parts together into one structured Excel-based system.
So I built a toolkit designed to help e-commerce sellers:
• Evaluate potential products
• Calculate costs and profitability
• Compare different opportunities
• Organize product research and decision-making
• Reduce the amount of information scattered across different spreadsheets
My main goal wasn't simply to create another spreadsheet template. I wanted to build a practical “decision layer” that helps sellers structure their thinking before investing money into a product.
I'm still at the stage of learning and improving it, so I'd genuinely appreciate honest feedback from people who run e-commerce businesses or build tools for entrepreneurs.
What do you think is the biggest challenge when deciding whether a product is worth pursuing?
I'm particularly interested in feedback about whether this workflow actually solves a real problem and what features would make something like this more useful.
