Has anyone been granted an Australian visa after being deported from the US?

Has anyone here been granted an Australian visa after previously being deported/removed from the United States?
In my case, the removal happened about 7 years ago due to an overstay.
My wife is planning to apply for a Student Visa, and I would apply as her dependent along with our 4-year-old daughter.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation and was able to get their visa approved.
