Anyone ever experienced a moment when you find that a foreigner had come to love your country and culture even more fiercely than people of your native country?

As a nonAmerican myself, it all the same is very funny to me that some new converts to Christianity(not a Christian myself), like those Chinese who run away to America and get a living by speak trash of their homeland, are so fiercely Christian(or so it seems) that they say things like “America is strong because of its Christian faith”.lol.
Maybe this is not a good example so I am interested to hear what you guys have to say on this topic!
