Seeing all the recent fan works about Neoptolemus lately makes me think

Honestly, no matter how young the boy was, the fact remains that he is a war criminal—a reality that neither the source material nor my own mind can erase—so I’ve always found such fan creations puzzling. I was particularly taken aback by the "shipping" that pairs him with Telemachus; even though I previously muted related content on TikTok and Tumblr, it keeps popping up again recently. When I’ve gone out of my way to look, I’ve found creators who focus heavily on him, and I even remember being shocked when an artist I liked on Tumblr drew him. Am I being too sensitive? Or am I being too insensitive? For those of you who—like me—stumble upon such fan creations (especially "Teleneo") on TikTok, Tumblr, or other platforms: how does it make you feel, and how do you react (mute, block, just scroll past, etc.)? Also, what are your thoughts on the current state of the fandom? I apologize if I’m being overly sensitive, and I’m sorry in advance if this post makes anyone uncomfortable.
