Is a repetitive 5 songs for 8 hours torture?

I worked in place, where my boss plays 5 different songs everyday for the whole day of my 8 hour shift. Same songs in my 40 hours a week work. Mind you the job I worked for is a medical call center so aside from hearing angry clinicians, medical staffs, and patients, it's those repetitive music.

I never forget these 5 songs, their 5 lyrics etc. It drives me super crazy. My boss said it's her way of training her employees to focus on their job more and tolerate that difficult situations with clients. That if we ever know the 5 songs, it means we aren't busy enough. And the annoyance for the 5 songs means we can keep working and listen to our clients instead.

I go home, those songs get stuck in my head. On my day offs, my way home. They just felt idk traumatizing. It actually doesn't make me focus, I'm too distracted. I tried telling my boss that it's not right.

Now, I made a huge mistake on my job today and my boss write me up. It's my fault I get it but I just really couldn't focus, I'm too emotionally distressed somehow....

Sigh, now I'm even more traumatized knowing CIA or the in prison does the same tactic to interrogate their prisoners. Basically to make the prisoners tell the truth so that they don't hear the same song over and over.
