why don't people ever mention the unseasonably cold aspect of climate change (in temperate climates)?
Only the heat or the melting. Like obviously that's bad and the bugs are awful but just because you like it cold longer doesn't mean that's normal either? Like I'm from the Midwest and sure we had a lot of snow in Dec/Jan and a freak in February but by early March it was spring. Occasional snow storm that would melt soon. Flower and leaf buds in February
And now it's winter with foot+ guaranteed storms til march, and April/May is when it's spring and the snow is a freak event. It's all sticks and mud til early April
Is it just so localized I'm doxxing myself or do people really not care bc they love the cold and are obsessed with staying home or having to carefully slowly drive to work and help the lesser abled in their neighborhood shovel. Like my thin 60yo mom with health issues shovels so many driveways while these strong healthy men do jack
