Season ticket holders could become a thing of the past in the premier league?
I can only speak on my own clubs situation that the treatment of fans has been nothing short of shocking. So would be interesting to find out how things are currently at the other 19 clubs.
So here’s some of the issues:
Season ticket holders since INEOS stepped in the door have been getting kicked out of their seats in favour of more VIP sections.
Fans have been getting bans left right and centre for lending their season tickets to others like family members or friends on occasions they can’t make it to the match.
Used to just largely be that the issues were with home games, along with price increases pushing the real fans out allowing for more tourists to snap them up. While our away support was amongst the best in the country, there was an identity where United fans never wore colours, usually black clothes, casual gear etc. Now the away ends are looking more like the home games, the ballot system prevents a lot of people from getting tickets while at the same time tourists, influencers that vlog themselves all game and celebrities like Luke Littler jump the queue to get priority.
